Yes. Consultations are available by phone, secure video conference (Zoom or Microsoft Teams), or in person at our Manhattan office at 100 Church Street, 8th Floor. Many clients across Long Island, Westchester, and Florida begin with a video call and never need to travel to the office.

Plan for 30 to 45 minutes. Complex estates with business interests, multiple states, or contested probate may run closer to an hour. We will tell you up front if your matter requires a longer slot, and we will not charge for the additional time at the consultation stage.

Estate planning (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare proxies), probate and estate administration, elder law and Medicaid planning, family law (divorce, custody, support), business succession planning, and real estate closings. If your matter is personal injury or accident-related, we are not the right firm but will refer you to a qualified attorney in our network.

Bring (or have ready to discuss): a brief description of the situation; key dates (death, marriage, divorce); names and relationships of family members involved; copies of any existing wills, trusts, or court papers if available; and any specific deadlines or court dates. You do not need to have anything formal prepared — we can work from a conversation.

Yes. The attorney-client privilege attaches the moment a consultation begins, even before you formally retain the firm. Anything you share with us during the consultation is protected and will not be disclosed without your authorization.

If we are a good fit and you decide to retain Morgan Legal Group, we will send a written engagement letter outlining scope, fees, and next steps. If your matter does not require our representation, we will tell you what (if any) follow-up steps you should consider, including referrals where appropriate. There is no pressure to retain.
